About Me

Setu (Satyajit Pande) is a Mumbai-based cinematographer.
Setu was fortunate to be exposed to world cinema while growing up in Kolkata and to watch his aunt and uncle make documentaries. He chose to pursue cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune as a result of his interest in still photography. After film school, he began working on documentaries before filming feature films, shorts, and commercials. He is known for his work in features like Charas(2004), Taare Zameen Par(2007), Kahaani (2012), Ghanchakkar(2013), Dedh Ishqiya(2014) Dangal (2016), Dil Bechara(2020) and Laal Singh Chaddha (2022).
He is a recipient of the Filmfare Award for his work on Kahaani and the Guild Award for Dedh Ishqiya.
